This is the clear vision that our founder and CEO, Nick Grey, started Gtech (Grey Technology) with back in 2001.

After working for a vacuum manufacturer as Head of Product Development, he decided to go it alone. Armed with a passion for design and enough savings to last him 18 months, he resigned and created his own company. And that’s how Gtech was born.

Working initially from his Worcestershire home, Nick Grey developed the world’s first cordless power sweeper. Since then, Gtech have gone from strength to strength. Today, we’ve sold over 25 million products in 23 countries and have employees across the world, making us experts in the field of cordless technology.

By 2002 Nick had a working prototype of the worlds first cordless Power Sweeper which was launched that year and went on to sell over 10 million units worldwide. Partnerships with industry giants Vileda, Shark and Bissell followed as Gtech expanded in the Western hemisphere and Europe. By 2011, Gtech had added garden tools and handheld vacuums to its range of cordless appliances, but it was the introduction of the AirRam in 2012 that made us a household name.

The Multi handheld vacuum was launched a year later to partner with the AirRam and by 2014, the AirRam had become the UK's best selling vacuum cleaner!


We moved to our current, and much larger, Worcester premises in August 2016 due to the rapid success and growth of the company. There’s plenty of space for our creative team of Designers, Engineers and Model-Makers, all working towards the same goal with the drive and passion passed on by our CEO


We also expanded internationally that year into Taiwan where the Powerfloor and Multi quickly became a hit. By 2017 over 100,000 have been sold making it the #1 in the market, meanwhile our global sales topped 25 million products.



Despite branching out, we like to keep things down to earth. We think it’s one of the things that makes us so popular with our customers. We know that everyone describes their company as ‘like a family’, but we genuinely believe that. We might be big, but we’re still small.


Gtech Singapore opened for business in 2018! Azteq Ventures signed an exclusive agreement to distribute, market and support all Gtech products throughout Singapore. We are thrilled to be here and look forward to supporting you as you join the Gtech family!
